Privacy policy

This page explains what EthanolMart collects when you use the site, why, and who can see it.

What we collect

• Your account: name, work email, phone number and password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash — nobody, including us, can read them.
• Your company: name, type, GSTIN, city, state, description, website and contact details you add to your profile.
• What you post: listings, requirements, quotations and enquiries.
• Technical data: one login cookie that keeps you signed in, and anonymous page-view statistics that do not use cookies or identify you.

Who can see what

• Your company profile, listings and open requirements are public, so buyers and suppliers can find you.
• Your contact person's email and phone are shown only to logged-in companies.
• Quotations are visible only to the buyer who posted the requirement (and to you, the supplier).
• When you send an enquiry, the seller receives your name, company, email and phone so they can reply.
• Our admin team can see account information to verify companies, help with passwords and keep the marketplace safe.

How we use it

To run the marketplace, verify companies, help you when you contact support, keep the site secure and improve it. We do not sell your information or use it for third-party advertising.

Where it is stored

The site is hosted by Vercel and the database by Neon, which may store data on servers outside India. They process it only to provide those services to us.

Your choices

You can update your profile at any time from your dashboard. To get a copy of your data, correct something you can't edit, or close your account and delete your information, email us from your registered address.

Grievance officer

Complaints about content or conduct on EthanolMart can be sent to ethanolmart@gmail.com. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.
